If It's Up To Keith Bulluck, Reche Caldwell Is Gonna Get.... JACKED UP!
The Titans play the Pats tomorrow night in yet another in the long line of preseason yawners that dot the schedule from here until the Saints v. Colts game on September 6th. Or so it would've seemed until teh Titans' Keith Bullucks launched an out-of-the-blue warning shot across the collective bow of the Pats and even more bizarrely called out the chronically coke-eyed Reche Caldwell. Apparently, Mr. Bullucks is still pissed about Vinny Testaverde's late-game, meaningless touchdown against them in the last game of the season last year and is really upset by the manner in which Reche Caldwell "reacted" in victory:
"Just the way they were acting after the game kind of irked me," Bulluck said. "A couple of the guys on the team weren't being too professional. It is only a preseason game, but 87 [Reche Caldwell] needs to keep his head on a swivel, that's all I've got to say."Oh, but that wasn't all he's gotta say:
"There are no personal vendettas or anything like that, there is just one person in particular that sticks out in mind," Bulluck said. "He is probably the sixth receiver, so I don't even know if he'll be in when I'm in. If he is, I'll know, trust me."I don't mean to nitpick, but when you say you don't have a "personal vendetta" and then you say that there is "one person in particular that sticks out" and finish by noting that he's going to keep an eye on him, that sounds an awful lot like a personal vendetta. Now I don't fault Keith Bullucks for getting pissed (especially because he's from 'Cuse) because they had a late season chance at the playoffs and blew it, but this vendetta seems really unnecessary. What the hell is the point of getting pissed at Reche Caldwell? But my favorite part about this is that the press had the gall to ask Belichick about the feud and what happened last year. When asked if he remembered the incidents from last year Belichick commented:
No, I guess I don't remember much about those minor incidents at the end of an inconsequential game. I WAS TOO BUSY WINNING!
